For student reviews and class chat. Honest criticism belongs here. Personal attacks do not.
Fast chat, ongoing moderation
Chat appears immediately after local checks for obvious prohibited content and spam. Suspicious messages can be held privately. Automated background review by Anthropic checks chat, including older messages, for targeted hate, harassment, threats, private information, spam and buying or selling class seats. A message can be removed after it appears. Ordinary enrollment advice, cost discussions and reporting misconduct are welcome. Reviews still wait privately for screening. If background review is unavailable, already published chat stays visible; held chat and reviews stay private. Operators can review, restore or remove content and record their reasons. Use private feedback to appeal. No automated check is perfect, so reports remain available.
Write from experience
Reviews should describe a course you took: its teaching, workload, assessments and what helped you learn. Explain your rating. A low rating or disagreement is not a reason for removal. Attendance is self-reported, and a verified email does not prove someone took a course.
Protect other people
No harassment, threats, hate, impersonation or private information. Discuss an instructor's teaching without attacking their identity or personal life. Do not name classmates or post their contact details, private messages or academic records.
Keep it useful and fair
No spam, paid promotion, fabricated reviews or coordinated rating campaigns. Do not post answers to active assessments, offer cheating services, or upload material you do not have permission to share. Questions about concepts, study methods and allowed collaboration are welcome.
Reports and decisions
Use the report control on a review or message and explain what needs attention. A report can temporarily hide content while a person reads it. Reports are not votes. Each account can file twenty reports across reviews and chat in a day. Only its first five reports can trigger an automatic hide, and muted, banned or unverified accounts do not trigger one. Further accepted reports still reach a person. The moderator can keep, remove or restore content, and records a reason. Reporter identities are not shared with authors. An operator may mute or ban an account from reviews and class chat for abuse. A mute expires; a ban lasts until it is lifted.
Corrections and appeals
You can edit or delete your own review. Deleting it removes its text and public rating from the course page; existing reports, their copies of the review and moderation decisions are kept. Deleting your account removes your reviews and their cases. Editing removed content does not restore it. If a decision seems wrong, request a moderation review through private feedback. Name the course or chat and explain what should be reconsidered. Sign in to link the request to your account, or share an optional contact address if you want a way to follow up. Do not include private academic records. A person reviews appeals; dibs does not promise an immediate response.
External reviews
Reviews linked on other sites belong to those sites and follow their rules. Only visible student reviews written on dibs contribute to the rating labelled as written on dibs. External ratings, grade records and attendance claims are separate sources.
