What dibs costs
Almost all of dibs is free and is staying free. There is one optional purchase, once a term, and this page says exactly what sits on each side of that line before you have to hit anything.
What stays free
That is 10 things, and it is all of them rather than a selection. This list is built from the same table dibs' own paid pages read, so it cannot fall out of step with what happens when you press something.

Classes that clash with your week are filtered out
Tell dibs the hours you cannot move and every list stops offering you sections you physically cannot attend. Free because it is a correctness setting rather than a feature: charging for it would be charging you so dibs can stop being wrong at you.

Your week, drawn
Build a schedule board, edit it, read it. It is the units, the clashes, the seat state and the grade history you can already see on their own pages, with a calendar drawn round them.

Whether a section fits the week you have
Put a section on your board and dibs says whether it clashes with anything else on it. Same clash arithmetic the rest of the site does for nothing.

Your first generated plan each term
Complete and uncrippled, not a sample with half of it withheld. Four of the six students who said they would pay made seeing real output the condition, and a demo that holds back the second half is not real output.

Enrollment appointment reminders
UCLA assigned you the time and you handed it to dibs, so this is arithmetic on your own data. Putting a wall in front of somebody's own enrollment time is the one thing that would make dibs look like it was holding the term hostage.

A plan you share, for whoever opens it
The person reading your link is never asked to pay and does not need an account. They did not ask dibs for anything, and a share link that opens on a paywall is not a share link.

One purchase, one term of access, and then it stops on its own. There is no plan to pick, no tier above this one, and nothing on the list below is sold separately.

The only thing in dibs that costs real money to run rather than only to decide. Your first plan each term stays free and stays complete.

The one figure somebody decides whether to apply to medical school on. No other site computes it at all, and the premeds it serves asked for it by name.

Asking dibs about your own term
A question dibs has to reason about, with your watches, your board and your audit in front of it. Metered, because every one of them costs dibs money. It is last on this list on purpose: five of six people who might pay said a chatbot is worth nothing to them, and dibs would rather sell you the plan.
Two things are meant to be paid and have no door in front of them yet: the clears bar for one plan and the enrollment order. dibs is not charging for either today, and they move up into the list above on the day it starts.

Access is attached to an account, so signing in is the first step whatever else happens.
dibs cannot take your money yet. Payments are still in test mode, so no real card can be charged here and none has been. This page carries the button the day that changes.
Nothing in the free list above is waiting on any of this. All of it works right now, signed in or not, and the paid pages go on saying what is behind them until there is a way through.
