The registrar's own records: 267 grades over 6 terms, Fall 2021 to Fall 2025, summer excluded. Every instructor is pooled here. The table below splits them, and term averages across those 6 terms ran 2.94 to 3.85.
- A+ 103 · 38.6%
- A 111 · 41.6%
- A- 4 · 1.5%
- B+ 5 · 1.9%
- B 23 · 8.6%
- B- 3 · 1.1%
- C 10 · 3.7%
- F 8 · 3.0%

Percentages are of the 267 letter grades. Grey bars are non-letter outcomes: passes (P). They are excluded from the GPA entirely rather than scored, because counting a P as a 4.0 would be a fabrication.
By instructor
| Instructor | Predicted GPA | Raw | n | Terms | A range | Workload | Winter 2027 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SHORTER, DAVID DELGADO reviews ↗ | 3.67 | 3.67 | 240 | 5 | 80% | heavy | not teaching it |
| GATES, WESLEIGH reviews ↗ | 3.66 | 3.64 | 28 | 1 | 79% | - | not teaching it |
| YATES, AMANDA reviews ↗ | 3.79 | 3.85 | 27 | 1 | 96% | - | not teaching it |
“Predicted” is shrunk toward the course average, which is itself shrunk toward the department, so an instructor with a handful of students sits near the course mean rather than topping the list.
dibs measures outcomes: grades, seats, how fast a class fills. For what a class is like to sit in, BruinWalk has the reviews.
What comes first
dibs has not read a class page for WL ARTS 51W, so it cannot say what comes before it.
Counted in courses rather than quarters: dibs does not know which of them a department lets you take together.
In Winters
Has not run in Winter in the 3 Winters dibs holds records for, back to Fall 2022. That is 3 years of grade records rather than the course catalog, so it says what has happened and not what the department will do next. dibs has no record of it in any quarter since Fall 2024.
From the terms dibs holds, which start in Fall 2021 and exclude summer. A department can run a course in a quarter it never has before.
