How sorting works

Balanced: 40% grades, 40% seat pressure, 20% availability.
Grades: 100% grades.
Seat odds: 100% seat pressure.
Open first: 100% availability.

Percentages are score weights, not enrollment probabilities. Seat pressure combines current fullness and historical demand. Availability uses the latest open, waitlist or closed status, including required discussions. Sorting reorders courses; it does not filter them.

Custom weights can be shared in the URL: w_gpa, w_fill and w_open.

Assuming you have satisfied Writing I (ENGCOMP 3 or an equivalent such as ESL 36), which these courses require. I have not. Needs a grade of C or better: C- does not count, and neither does a Passed grade.

You cannot enroll in sections held for new students unless you are one, and they are marked in the list. Useful for seeing what a category really offers.
