Watching is the one thing here that needs an account, because an alert needs somewhere to go. Everything else on this page works signed out.

Put this class on a board

A board is one quarter you are drafting, so it needs an account to live in. Signing in brings you straight back to this page, with this class still in front of you.

Before you can enroll

Registrar's Restrictions cell, read 3 days ago: "Instructor Consent".

From the registrar limited until second pass

The department will cancel your enrollment if you do not attend at least one of the first two class meetings (for classes that meet two days each week), or the first class meeting (for classes that meet one day each week). Enrollment after the second day of class for classes that meet two days a week or the first day of class for classes that meet one day a week is not allowed. No exceptions. Geography 7 and 180 thru 187 are limited to Geography majors; Geography and Geospatial Informational System and Technologies minors; Environment and Sustainability majors; and Environmental Science majors on the first enrollment pass. Geography 100 thru 179 are limited to departmental majors and minors on the first enrollment pass. Non-majors may enroll in Geogrpahy 7, 100 thru 176, and 183 thru 187 on the second pass (space permitting), and in Geography 180 thru 182C beginning one week after second pass begins (space permitting).

This limit ends at an enrollment pass rather than on a date, and dibs does not hold the date second pass opens for Fall 2026, so it cannot say whether that pass has come. So dibs cannot tell whether this class is open to you today, and it is not counting it as one you can take: your enrollment appointment on MyUCLA is what settles it. This class is also Instructor Consent, which the pass does not lift.

Restrictions read 3 days ago. dibs re-reads these slowly because they rarely change; watch the section and it moves to every 6 hours.

What students say

dibs measures outcomes: grades, seats, how fast it fills. For what the class is actually like to sit in, BruinWalk has the reviews.

Workload, light. 4.0 of 5 for Glen MacDonald, where 5 is lightest. Read 29 days ago.

dibs has not read this course’s reviews, so it cannot say what kind of work it sets. That is dibs not having looked. It is not a course without papers or exams, and the reviews linked below are the answer until dibs catches up.

dibs read 168 of the 557 hours its hourly record covers, 30%, and did not look in 389. dibs had no hourly record before 8 Sep, which is the other 535 of 1092 plotted.Seats from 17 Aug 15:07 to 2 Oct 02:02, 11 to 12. The line joins two or three readings, which is too few to read a trend from. dibs read 168 of the 557 hours its hourly record here covers, 30%. An hour marked as read confirms a check, not continuous monitoring. That check recorded no change; changes between checks may be missed. For 389 hours dibs was keeping a record and did not reach this section. Nothing before 8 September at 22:00, where this section's record starts, has a read either way, which is 535 hours of this window. Where the drawing is faint or broken, that never means the readings are doubtful. It means the stretch between them is unaccounted for.

A dot is a reading, and there are only two or three of them here. The line joins the measurements; two or three readings are too few to read a trend from. The last dot is the last time dibs read this section, moved or not: 24 minutes ago.

How readings and alerts work

A reading and an hourly record are different things, and most charts here hold more of the second missing than present. dibs has taken readings of a section since long before it began keeping an hour-by-hour log of when it looked, so the empty stretches are dibs saying it was not keeping that log yet, not that it looked and found nothing. That is the age of the record and not a fault.

Seat counts show the last successful read, not live availability. Refreshes can be delayed by request limits or upstream interruptions. Watched sections receive priority, but an hourly update for every section is not guaranteed.

The registrar can change a seat count between our checks. Alerts depend on dibs detecting an opening and completing delivery; a quiet watch does not prove that no seat opened. Check the registrar before enrolling.
