SOC GEN M72A · Dis 1A

Sex from Biology to Gendered Society

Fall 2026An unnamed TA6 units

Also listed as CLUSTER M72A (open, 192 of 194 enrolled, standing limit), COMM M72A (closed by the department), SOCIOL M72A (closed by the department): the same class, and each department holds its own seats and its own grade history.

Seats, time, final and grades

Seats

Closed by the department.

The department has not published seat counts for this class.

Its lecture reads closed by the department (-): you attend both, so this seat is not one you can take while that holds. There is no waitlist either, so the only way in is somebody dropping the lecture.

Meets

M 2:00pm-3:50pm

This discussion only. You also attend Lec 1.

Final

None on the page dibs read

No exam time on the page dibs read. That is not the registrar saying there is no final.

Grades

no grade history

No grade record for this section yet.

Read 61 minutes ago. This is a recent reading, not a live seat count.

Enroll on the registrar (opens in a new tab) Sign in to watch for an opening

Watching is the one thing here that needs an account, because an alert needs somewhere to go. Everything else on this page works signed out.

Put this class on a board

A board is one quarter you are drafting, so it needs an account to live in. Signing in brings you straight back to this page, with this class still in front of you.

Before you can enroll

From the registrar

Upon satisfactorily completing Clusters M72A, M72B, and M72CW, students receive credit for the following requirements: one Historical Analysis GE, one Life Sciences without lab GE, and two Social Analysis GEs. Upon satisfactorily completing Clusters M72A, M72B, and M72CW, students will fulfill the Writing II requirement. Students must receive a grade of D- or better each quarter to receive general education credit and continue in the course. To receive credit for Writing II, students must satisfy Writing I by the end of the year, successfully complete fall and winter quarters, and earn a grade of C or better in spring quarter. For a complete summary of clusters credits, see https://www.uei.ucla.edu/academic-programs/ucla-cluster-program/benefits .

What students say

dibs measures outcomes: grades, seats, how fast it fills. For what the class is actually like to sit in, BruinWalk has the reviews.

There are no BruinWalk reviews of this course on record as of about 1 month ago, so nobody has told dibs what kind of work it sets. That is dibs holding no reviews at all, and not reviewers who wrote without mentioning the work.

Will it still be here

no history chance of closing before your enrollment pass.

The department has not published seat counts for this class, so there is nothing to plot. dibs records when it read the class, not a count it was never given. Last read 1 Oct 16:42.

How readings and alerts work

A reading and an hourly record are different things, and most charts here hold more of the second missing than present. dibs has taken readings of a section since long before it began keeping an hour-by-hour log of when it looked, so the empty stretches are dibs saying it was not keeping that log yet, not that it looked and found nothing. That is the age of the record and not a fault.

Seat counts show the last successful read, not live availability. Refreshes can be delayed by request limits or upstream interruptions. Watched sections receive priority, but an hourly update for every section is not guaranteed.

The registrar can change a seat count between our checks. Alerts depend on dibs detecting an opening and completing delivery; a quiet watch does not prove that no seat opened. Check the registrar before enrolling.

Class chat

Nobody on dibs watches this class or has it on a plan yet. Nobody has posted yet.

Dis 1A shares one room with Lec 1 and every other discussion under it, because that is what a student means by "my class".
