Students who have not taken language courses at UCLA are encouraged to take the online placement examination at https://www.spanport.ucla.edu/language-programs/policies/placement-exams and follow its course recommendations. Seats are held for entering students who enroll through New Student Orientation sessions beginning July 2, 2026. New student restrictions will be lifted on September 15, 2026 at 8 a.m. Discussion section 1B is conducted in Spanish. Send e-mail to the instructor with questions.
