LIFESCI 30A · Lab 1I
Mathematics for Life Scientists
Seats, time, final and grades
Seats
Closed.
19 of 19 enrolled.
Its lecture reads closed (168 of 168 enrolled): you attend both, so this seat is not one you can take while that holds. There is no waitlist either, so the only way in is somebody dropping the lecture.
Meets
F 10:00am-11:50am
This discussion only. You also attend Lec 1.
Final
Mon 7 Dec, 6:30pm to 9:30pm
One exam for the whole class, Los Angeles time.
Read 3 hours ago.
Grades
8,226 letter grades, everyone who has taught LIFESCI 30A.
Read 35 minutes ago. dibs reads this about once an hour, so it is as current as dibs gets.
dibs has seen this section open 14 times since 17 August. The last time was 7 days ago.
Watching is the one thing here that needs an account, because an alert needs somewhere to go. Everything else on this page works signed out.
Put this class on a board
A board is one quarter you are drafting, so it needs an account to live in. Signing in brings you straight back to this page, with this class still in front of you.
Before you can enroll
Registrar's Restrictions cell, read 23 hours ago: "New Students Only".
From the registrar new students only until 15 September
Conflicts between examinations and activities in other courses cannot be accommodated, so avoid conflicts when enrolling. Due to the curriculum of this course, enrollment will be closed by 3:00 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2026. Late enrollment is rarely granted and requires instructor approval. PTE numbers are NOT available; do not contact the instructor or the Life Sciences Core Office for a PTE number. The department will not facilitate section switches between students; students should enroll in a section only if they can attend all quarter. Seats are held for entering students who enroll through New Student Orientation sessions beginning July 2, 2026. New student restrictions will be lifted on September 15, 2026 at 8 a.m. There will be one MANDATORY midterm examination from 6 to 7:50 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
Held for entering students enrolling through orientation until 15 September. If that is you, the seats are yours now; if not, the class opens to you that morning.

What students say
dibs measures outcomes: grades, seats, how fast it fills. For what the class is actually like to sit in, BruinWalk has the reviews.

Read from 180 reviews 26 hours ago. dibs counts only what a review actually states, so a kind of work nobody mentioned is absent rather than zero.
Will it still be here

14 times reopenedA dot is a reading where something moved: the seat count, the status, or the waitlist. The last one is the last time dibs read this section, moved or not: 35 minutes ago. The line holds flat between dots because that is what the readings say: it did not drift, it held and then jumped. The ticks along the bottom are the hours dibs recorded reading this section, which is how a flat run says "checked, unchanged" rather than "nobody looked". It only keeps those from 25 August, so the ruler is shorter than the line for now. Both start when dibs did rather than reaching back before it existed.

Class chat
Nobody on dibs watches this class or has it on a plan yet. Nobody has posted yet.
Lab 1I shares one room with Lec 1 and every other discussion under it, because that is what a student means by "my class".
Reading a room needs no account. Posting does, and it is free.
