Put this class on a board

A board is one quarter you are drafting, so it needs an account to live in. Signing in brings you straight back to this page, with this class still in front of you.

What watching takes

Your setup, with any current hold shown beside the watch control.

An account

An alert needs an email address. You can browse courses and grade history without signing in.

Your year

Helps dibs interpret enrollment limits. Uncertain eligibility may still be included with a caveat.

From the registrar enrollment limit

Sociology 102 through 191 are limited to Sociology pre-majors and majors on the priority and first enrollment passes. Nonmajors may enroll on the second pass, space permitting.

This limit ends at an enrollment pass rather than on a date, and dibs does not hold the date second pass opens for Fall 2026, so it cannot say whether that pass has come. When it does, the registrar writes who may enroll then as “Nonmajors may enroll on the second pass, space permitting.” So dibs cannot tell whether this class is open to you today, and it is not counting it as one you can take: your enrollment appointment on MyUCLA is what settles it.

Restrictions checked 4 days ago and may be outdated. Unwatched sections are rechecked less often than watched sections. Check the registrar before counting on a seat.

What students say

dibs measures outcomes: grades, seats, how fast it fills. For what the class is actually like to sit in, BruinWalk has the reviews.

What the work looks like

  • 2 exams, 28 mentions in past reviews
  • 3 quizzes, 10 mentions in past reviews
  • 1 paper, 9 mentions in past reviews
  • 2 problem sets, 8 mentions in past reviews

Based on 98 reviews; source checked 6 days ago. dibs counts only what a review actually states, so a kind of work nobody mentioned is absent rather than zero.

Will it still be here

high risk chance of closing before your enrollment pass.

Final enrollment per term from four years of grade data. Summer excluded: different population, different pass structure.

Seats over time

Nothing read since 16 Oct, 6 hours ago. Over about 2 months before that, same seat count, but the waitlist moved and came back.

20 of 20 · no seats left

All 4 readings say 20 of 20.

18 Aug 18:4017 Sep 02:4616 Oct 10:52 · 6 hours ago
Checked 168 of the 1080 hours with hourly history, 16%. No reading was recorded in 912 hours. dibs had no hourly record before 1 Sep, which is the other 329 of 1409 plotted.20 of 20 enrolled at the newest reading, 6 hours ago, and no seats left. Seats from 18 Aug 18:40 to 16 Oct 10:52, 20 to 20. Recorded enrollment counts match. Checks are not continuous monitoring. Changes between checks may be missed.

A dot is a reading. Recorded enrollment counts match, so the line is flat across the whole window: it says when dibs looked rather than what changed. The last dot is the last time dibs read this section, moved or not, and that was 6 hours ago. It is the last thing dibs saw, not where the count is now.

How readings and alerts work

Dated seat counts can be available even when hourly check history is missing. Gaps do not show whether seats changed between observations.

Seat counts show the last successful read, not live availability. Refreshes can be delayed by request limits or upstream interruptions. Watched sections receive priority, but an hourly update for every section is not guaranteed.

The registrar can change a seat count between our checks. Alerts depend on dibs detecting an opening and completing delivery; a quiet watch does not prove that no seat opened. Check the registrar before enrolling.
