All entering Musicology majors must take the Music Theory Placement Examination to be given online. Refer to e-mail from the school for instructions. Seats are held for entering students who enroll through New Student Orientation sessions beginning July 2, 2026. New student restrictions will be lifted on September 15, 2026 at 8 a.m.
The new-student hold ended on 15 September. This class is also Ethnomusicology, Global Jazz Studies, Music, Musicology, Mu Sic Compostion, Music Education, Music History and Industry, Music Industry, or Music Performance Majors, which the end of the new-student hold does not lift.
