From the registrar limited early, then open
History 97A through 188 are limited to History pre-majors, majors, and minors on the priority and first enrollment passes. Any student may enroll on second pass, space permitting. Nonmajors may enroll in History 97 and upper-division history courses (except those in the 191 series) on the second pass. History 191 seminars are limited to declared junior/senior History majors, who may enroll on the second pass. After July 2, 2026, some lower-division and upper-division seats are limited to students attending New Student Orientation sessions. All limitations are removed September 15, 2026. Enrollment is limited to declared junior/senior History majors who may enroll on the second pass.
The limit applies to the earlier enrollment pass. Dibs still counts this class as one you can take, because it opens up, but on first pass it may not be yours yet. This class is also History Majors and Juniors and Above, which the pass does not lift.
