HIST 246A · Sem 1
Introduction to U.S. History: Colonial Period
dibs reads this section's seats hourly, like everything else, but it does not send alerts for graduate courses yet.
Seats, time, final and grades
Seats
Open, 4 seats left.

M 3:00pm-5:50pm
Every meeting the registrar lists for this section.
Final
Exam time unavailable
No exam time is listed in the available section details. Check the registrar or current syllabus; this does not mean there is no final.
Grades
Put this class on a board
A board is one quarter you are drafting, so it needs an account to live in. Signing in brings you straight back to this page, with this class still in front of you.
Before you can enroll
Registrar's Restrictions cell, read 2 days ago: "Graduate Students".
From the registrar limited until second pass
History 97A through 188 are limited to History pre-majors, majors, and minors on the priority and first enrollment passes. Any student may enroll on second pass, space permitting. Any student may enroll in History 97 and upper-division history courses (except those in the 191 series) on the second pass. History 191 seminars are limited to declared junior/senior History majors, who may enroll on the second pass. After July 2, 2026, some lower-division and upper-division seats are limited to students attending New Student Orientation sessions. All limitations are removed September 15, 2026.
This limit ends at an enrollment pass rather than on a date, and dibs does not hold the date second pass opens for Fall 2026, so it cannot say whether that pass has come. So dibs cannot tell whether this class is open to you today, and it is not counting it as one you can take: your enrollment appointment on MyUCLA is what settles it. This class is also Graduate Students, which the pass does not lift.
Restrictions checked 2 days ago and may be outdated. Seat alerts are unavailable for this course. Check the registrar.

What students say
dibs measures outcomes: grades, seats, how fast it fills. For what the class is actually like to sit in, BruinWalk has the reviews.
No reviews were listed in the BruinWalk source checked 5 days ago. Assignment details are unknown. Check the current syllabus.
Will it still be here
Not a question any more: see the notice at the top of this page.
Seats over time
Freed 1 seat over about 2 months
A dot is a reading where something moved: the seat count, the status, or the waitlist. Flat between dots joins recorded counts; changes between reads may be missed. The line starts when dibs first saw this section rather than reaching back before it existed. The last one is the last time dibs read this section, moved or not: 26 minutes ago.

How readings and alerts work
Dated seat counts can be available even when hourly check history is missing. Gaps do not show whether seats changed between observations.
Seat counts show the last successful read, not live availability. Refreshes can be delayed by request limits or upstream interruptions. Watched sections receive priority, but an hourly update for every section is not guaranteed.
The registrar can change a seat count between our checks. Alerts depend on dibs detecting an opening and completing delivery; a quiet watch does not prove that no seat opened. Check the registrar before enrolling.
