What comes first

dibs has no class page for GEOG 143, in any term it holds, that it can state prerequisites from, so it cannot say what comes before it. A page read while a class still reads Tentative does not count.

Counted in courses rather than quarters: dibs does not know which of them a department lets you take together.

From the registrar's catalog

Lecture, three hours; discussion, one hour. Black geographies is an interdisciplinary field of study, which considers the poetics of Black life and ecological and political economies of inequality. Such dynamic thinking enables identification of the problems of structural racism—including anti-Black policing, poverty, and climate injustice—and envisioning of how a world without such violence might look and feel. Through readings of contemporary and landmark Black geographic authors and studies of local, U.S., and transnational Black geographies, analysis of Blackness, and race, being rooted in a spatial relationship; the category of Black being produced by economic transaction, dispossession from land, and the exploitation of particular bodies’ life and labor; blackness not wholly being confined by these depraved material conditions; and Black life being central to an ongoing transformative and liberatory relationship to carceral capitalist space. P/NP or letter grading.

Seats over time in Winter 2027

How each lecture has filled since dibs first saw it.

A dot is a reading where something moved: the seat count, the status, or the waitlist.

What a flat run means, and where a line starts

Flat between dots means it did not drift, it held and then jumped, and a line starts when dibs first saw that lecture rather than reaching back before it existed. A lecture that has never moved draws a flat line across the whole window, and one with two or three readings draws a line joining them, which is too few to read a trend from.

How readings and alerts work

Dated seat counts can be available even when hourly check history is missing. Gaps do not show whether seats changed between observations.

Seat counts show the last successful read, not live availability. Refreshes can be delayed by request limits or upstream interruptions. Watched sections receive priority, but an hourly update for every section is not guaranteed.

The registrar can change a seat count between our checks. Alerts depend on dibs detecting an opening and completing delivery; a quiet watch does not prove that no seat opened. Check the registrar before enrolling.
