The registrar's own records: 6,691 grades over 17 terms, Fall 2021 to Fall 2025. 4 of those terms are summer sessions, and summer sessions are counted here. Every instructor is pooled here. The table below splits them, and term averages across those 17 terms ran 3.11 to 3.78.

Percentages are of the 6,691 letter grades. Grey bars are non-letter outcomes: passes (P), no-passes (NP), and incompletes (I). They are excluded from the GPA entirely rather than scored, because counting a P as a 4.0 would be a fabrication.

“Predicted” is shrunk toward the course average, which is itself shrunk toward the department, so an instructor with a handful of students sits near the course mean rather than topping the list.
dibs measures outcomes: grades, seats, how fast a class fills. For what a class is like to sit in, BruinWalk has the reviews.
What comes first
The chain dibs can see is 1 course long before CHEM 14BL. dibs has read a class page for every course in it.
Counted in courses rather than quarters: dibs does not know which of them a department lets you take together.
In Falls
Ran in 5 of the last 5 Falls.
From the terms dibs holds, which start in Fall 2021 and exclude summer. A department can run a course in a quarter it never has before.
From the registrar's catalog
Lecture, one hour; laboratory, three hours. Enforced requisite: course 14A or 20A or 20AH with grade of C- or better. Enforced corequisite: course 14B. Not open to students with credit for course 20L. Introduction to volumetric, spectrophotometric, and potentiometric analysis. Use and preparation of buffers and pH meters. Synthesis and kinetics techniques using compounds of interest to students in life sciences. P/NP or letter grading.
Sections in Fall 2026
You enroll in the discussion, not the lecture, so a discussion's status is the one that decides whether you get in. A lecture can read open while every discussion under it is full.
Seat counts as of : the oldest of these 34 readings. The registrar publishes hourly and dibs reads what it can each hour, so a row can be older than that.

Final enrollment, averaged across each term's sections: between 199 and 275 a term over 13 terms, summer excluded, most recently 275 in Fall 2025. That is the shape across years, not this term, which is above.
Seats over time in Fall 2026
How each lecture has filled since dibs first saw it. This course runs 2 lectures; the legend under the chart picks one.
Lec 1 · Pang, J. and Pathuri, R.S. · 314 enrolled
Same seat count, but the status went closed to closed by the department and the waitlist moved and came back over 17 days
All 17 readings say 314 of 314.
Across the 412 hours from 17 Aug 12:32 to 3 Sep 15:30, dibs holds a read record for 168 of them. Where the line is flat across an hour dibs did read, the count held: that is checked and unchanged, rather than nobody having looked. For 8 hours dibs was keeping a record and did not reach this section. Nothing before 27 August at 08:00, where this section's record starts, has a read either way, which is 236 hours of this window. A hedged line never means the readings are doubtful. It means the stretch between them is unaccounted for.
