You are looking at Fall 2025. That term is over, so these are last term's numbers rather than seats you can take. dibs holds 1,964 sections for Fall 2025, read about 1 month ago. The registrar's own records: 144 grades over 5 terms, Fall 2021 to Fall 2025. Every instructor is pooled here.

What is inside that record

4 of those terms are summer sessions, and summer sessions are counted here.

The table below splits them, and term averages across those 5 terms ran 3.52 to 4.00.

Historical grades for all professors, across recorded terms. The course summary above includes all professors.

  • A+ 12 · 8.3%
  • A 89 · 61.8%
  • A- 20 · 13.9%
  • B+ 8 · 5.6%
  • B 5 · 3.5%
  • B- 5 · 3.5%
  • C 2 · 1.4%
  • C- 1 · 0.7%
  • D 2 · 1.4%
  • P 11 of 161
  • NP 1 of 161
  • S 3 of 161
  • I 2 of 161

Percentages are of the 144 letter grades. Grey bars are non-letter outcomes: passes (P), no-passes (NP), satisfactory (S), and incompletes (I).

How the non-letter outcomes are counted

They are excluded from the GPA entirely rather than scored, because counting a P as a 4.0 would be a fabrication.

By instructor

Predicted GPA, raw average, sample size, terms, A range and the workload reviewers reported for every instructor with a grade record in this course
Instructor Predicted GPA Raw n Terms A range Workload Fall 2025
TILLY, CHRISTOPHER C reviews ↗ 3.66 3.64 58 2 72% - not teaching it
MANVILLE, MICHAEL K reviews ↗ 3.70 3.68 34 1 82% - not teaching it
GUY, TAM JANINE reviews ↗ 3.92 4.00 34 1 100% very light not teaching it
LENS, MICHAEL C reviews ↗ 3.78 3.81 18 · 1 94% very light not teaching it
Why Predicted is not the Raw average

“Predicted” is shrunk toward the course average, which is itself shrunk toward the department, so an instructor with a handful of students sits near the course mean rather than topping the list.

Grade records describe outcomes. For what a course is like to take, read student reviews written on dibs below or follow the separate external review link.
