CLUSTER 2A · Dis 1J
Building Climates
This is a year, not a class
Clusters run across three quarters, fall, winter, then the spring seminar, and UCLA counts the credit on completing the yearlong cluster: four GE requirements and the Writing II requirement. Signing up for the first quarter is signing up for the year.
Dibs only reads Fall 2026, so the later parts show no sections here: that is this term, not the sequence ending. What you keep if you take only part of a cluster is a question for the Cluster Program, not something these numbers answer.

Final
None on the page dibs read
No exam time on the page dibs read. That is not the registrar saying there is no final.
Grades
359 letter grades, everyone who has taught CLUSTER 2A.
Read 34 minutes ago. dibs reads this about once an hour, so it is as current as dibs gets.
Watching is the one thing here that needs an account, because an alert needs somewhere to go. Everything else on this page works signed out.
Put this class on a board
A board is one quarter you are drafting, so it needs an account to live in. Signing in brings you straight back to this page, with this class still in front of you.
Before you can enroll

From the registrar limited by standing
Seats are held for entering students who enroll through New Student Orientation sessions beginning July 2, 2026. New student restrictions will be lifted on September 15, 2026 at 8 a.m. Upon satisfactorily completing Clusters 2A, 2B, and 2CW, students receive credit for the following requirements: one GE each in Historical Analysis, Physical Sciences without lab, Social Analysis, Visual and Performing Arts. Upon satisfactorily completing Clusters 2B, students will fulfill the diversity requirement for the College and Schools of Education and Information Studies, Music, Public Affairs, and Public Health. Upon satisfactorily completing Clusters 2A, 2B, and 2CW, students will fulfill the Writing II requirement. Students must receive a grade of D- or better each quarter to receive general education credit and continue in the course. To receive credit for Writing II, students must satisfy Writing I by the end of the year, successfully complete fall and winter quarters, and earn a grade of C or better in spring quarter. For a complete summary of clusters credits, see https://www.uei.ucla.edu/academic-programs/ucla-cluster-program/benefits .
Held for entering students enrolling through orientation until 15 September. If that is you, the seats are yours now. If not, that date lifts the new-student hold only: this class is also First-Year Freshmen Only, which it does not lift.

What students say
dibs measures outcomes: grades, seats, how fast it fills. For what the class is actually like to sit in, BruinWalk has the reviews.
What the work looks like
- No exams, said by 1 reviewer “there weren't any exams when I took it”
- Papers mentioned, no number given, said by 2 reviewers “Your TA is the grader of all your papers”
Read from 6 reviews 25 hours ago. dibs counts only what a review actually states, so a kind of work nobody mentioned is absent rather than zero.
Will it still be here
high risk chance of closing before your enrollment pass.
Final enrollment per term from four years of grade data. Summer excluded: different population, different pass structure.

A dot is a reading where something moved: the seat count, the status, or the waitlist. The last one is the last time dibs read this section, moved or not: 34 minutes ago. The line holds flat between dots because that is what the readings say: it did not drift, it held and then jumped. The ticks along the bottom are the hours dibs recorded reading this section, which is how a flat run says "checked, unchanged" rather than "nobody looked". It only keeps those from 25 August, so the ruler is shorter than the line for now. Both start when dibs did rather than reaching back before it existed.

Class chat
Nobody on dibs watches this class or has it on a plan yet. Nobody has posted yet.
Dis 1J shares one room with Lec 1 and every other discussion under it, because that is what a student means by "my class".
Reading a room needs no account. Posting does, and it is free.
