From the registrar limited to

Seats are held for entering students who enroll through New Student Orientation sessions beginning July 2, 2026. New student restrictions will be lifted on September 15, 2026 at 8 a.m. Enrollment is limited to Public Affairs majors on the priority and first enrollment passes. Public Affairs pre-majors and majors and Gerontology, Public Affairs, and Urban and Regional Studies minors may enroll on the second pass, space permitting. Any student may enroll beginning September 15, 2026, space permitting. No discussion section meets during Week 0. To request a PTE number students must submit the PTE Request Form at https://sa.ucla.edu/forms/p/woBw3. Do not contact the instructor to request a PTE number.

The limit applies to the earlier enrollment pass. Dibs still counts this class as one you can take, because it opens up, but on first pass it may not be yours yet. This class is also New Transfers Only and Public Affairs Majors and Premajors and Public Affairs Pre-Major, Public Affairs Major, Public Affairs Minor, Urban and Regional Studies Minor, Gerontology Minor and Undergraduate Students Only, which the pass does not lift.

What students say

Dibs measures outcomes: grades, seats, how fast it fills. For what the class is actually like to sit in, BruinWalk has the reviews.

Enrollment over time

A dot is a reading where something moved: the seat count, the status, or the waitlist. The last one is the most recent sweep, moved or not. The line holds flat between dots because that is what the readings say: it did not drift, it held and then jumped. The ticks along the bottom are the hours Dibs recorded reading this section, which is how a flat run says "checked, unchanged" rather than "nobody looked". It only keeps those from 25 August, so the ruler is shorter than the line for now. Both start when Dibs did rather than reaching back before it existed.
