The registrar's own records: 1,029 grades over 5 terms, Fall 2021 to Fall 2025. Every instructor is pooled here.

What is inside that record

No summer session is in that record.

The table below splits them, and term averages across those 5 terms ran 2.86 to 3.53.

Historical grades for all professors, across recorded terms. The course summary above includes all professors.

  • A+ 55 · 5.3%
  • A 249 · 24.2%
  • A- 169 · 16.4%
  • B+ 126 · 12.2%
  • B 168 · 16.3%
  • B- 57 · 5.5%
  • C+ 64 · 6.2%
  • C 65 · 6.3%
  • C- 44 · 4.3%
  • D+ 15 · 1.5%
  • D 5 · 0.5%
  • D- 4 · 0.4%
  • F 8 · 0.8%
  • P 2 of 1,040
  • NP 2 of 1,040
  • I 6 of 1,040
  • DR 1 of 1,040

Percentages are of the 1,029 letter grades. Grey bars are non-letter outcomes: passes (P), no-passes (NP), incompletes (I), and withdrawals (DR).

How the non-letter outcomes are counted

They are excluded from the GPA entirely rather than scored, because counting a P as a 4.0 would be a fabrication.

Withdrawals are the exception to "excluded": DR is not scored, but it IS counted in the D, F or W figure above, which is reported over the letter grades plus the withdrawals. Pass/no pass and S/U outcomes are outside that figure on both sides.

By instructor

Predicted GPA, raw average, sample size, terms, A range and the workload reviewers reported for every instructor with a grade record in this course
Instructor Predicted GPA Raw n Terms A range Workload Winter 2027
WHITE, STEPHANIE ANN reviews ↗ 3.22 3.22 630 3 47% average not teaching it
PIRI, NATIK reviews ↗ 3.22 3.22 630 3 47% heavy not teaching it
CHANDLER, SCOTT H reviews ↗ 3.07 3.07 606 3 38% average not teaching it
SCHWEIZER, FELIX ERICH reviews ↗ 3.39 3.39 423 2 58% - not teaching it
Why Predicted is not the Raw average

“Predicted” is shrunk toward the course average, which is itself shrunk toward the department, so an instructor with a handful of students sits near the course mean rather than topping the list.

Grade records describe outcomes. For what a course is like to take, read student reviews written on dibs below or follow the separate external review link.

What comes first

The chain dibs can see is 5 courses long before NEUROSC M101A. Read from Fall 2026, because dibs has not read a class page for NEUROSC M101A in Winter 2027 and a department can change what it requires. This is a floor, not a deadline: dibs has not read a class page for CHEM 20B, LIFESCI 30B, and MATH 3B, so the real chain can only be longer than this, never shorter.

Counted in courses rather than quarters: dibs does not know which of them a department lets you take together.

In Winters

Has not run in Winter in the 4 Winters dibs holds records for, back to Fall 2021. That is 4 years of grade records rather than the course catalog, so it says what has happened and not what the department will do next.

From the terms dibs holds, which start in Fall 2021 and exclude summer. A department can run a course in a quarter it never has before.

From the registrar's catalog
