Lecture, three hours; discussion, one hour. Requisite: English Composition 3. Not open for credit to students with credit for course 25. Designed for nonmajors. Knowledge of Russian not required. Study of major works by great 19th-century Russian novelists. Satisfies Writing II requirement. Letter grading.
