Lecture, six hours. Part one of two-term accelerated language sequence equivalent to three terms of traditional instruction. Introduction to Catalan language and culture from wide range of activities focused on task-based and communicative approaches. Study involves variety of activities, which are designed to develop learners’ listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills. P/NP or letter grading.
