The registrar's own records: 2,150 grades over 17 terms, Fall 2021 to Fall 2025, summer excluded. Every instructor is pooled here. The table below splits them, and term averages across those 17 terms ran 3.70 to 4.00.

  • A+ 936 · 43.5%
  • A 797 · 37.1%
  • A- 213 · 9.9%
  • B+ 82 · 3.8%
  • B 56 · 2.6%
  • B- 24 · 1.1%
  • C+ 5 · 0.2%
  • C 5 · 0.2%
  • C- 7 · 0.3%
  • D+ 2 · 0.1%
  • D- 1 · 0.0%
  • F 22 · 1.0%
  • P 33 of 2,194
  • NP 3 of 2,194
  • I 7 of 2,194
  • NR 1 of 2,194

Percentages are of the 2,150 letter grades. Grey bars are non-letter outcomes: passes (P), no-passes (NP), incompletes (I), and no report (NR). They are excluded from the GPA entirely rather than scored, because counting a P as a 4.0 would be a fabrication.

“Predicted” is shrunk toward the course average, which is itself shrunk toward the department, so an instructor with a handful of students sits near the course mean rather than topping the list.

dibs measures outcomes: grades, seats, how fast a class fills. For what a class is like to sit in, BruinWalk has the reviews.

In Falls

Ran in 5 of the last 5 Falls.

From the terms dibs holds, which start in Fall 2021 and exclude summer. A department can run a course in a quarter it never has before.

From the registrar's catalog

Lecture, three hours; discussion, one hour. Introduction to key concepts in study of sex and gender. Exploration of topics such as gender socialization, body image, sexualities, masculinities, and women's subordination. Special emphasis on interaction of gender with other identity markers such as race, nation, ethnicity, sexuality, class, and other differences. P/NP or letter grading.

Sections in Fall 2026

You enroll in the discussion, not the lecture, so a discussion's status is the one that decides whether you get in. A lecture can read open while every discussion under it is full.

Seat counts as of : the oldest of these 9 readings. The registrar publishes hourly and dibs reads what it can each hour, so a row can be older than that.

Final enrollment, averaged across each term's sections: between 102 and 296 a term over 11 terms, summer excluded, most recently 296 in Fall 2025. That is the shape across years, not this term, which is above.
